Sr. Account Executive, Public Relations
Amy Maier joined Faiss Foley Warren PR & Government Affairs in 2014 to manage the agency’s marketing and public relations efforts for downtown Las Vegas and a growing list of clients, including a variety of local restaurants, bars and retail businesses. She brings to FFW years of experience in public relations, marketing and government affairs.
Originally from New England, Maier attended Lafayette College in Pennsylvania and graduated magna cum laude. Maier began her career in public relations as an intern at Burson-Marsteller in Washington, D.C. where she assisted with the creation of PR campaigns and media events, including the unveiling of the women’s suffrage statue in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.
Upon graduation, Maier worked on Capitol Hill for Rep. Jim Gibbons, R-Nev., rising to the role of press secretary/communications director, managing his media relations and developed comprehensive communication strategies. Maier later served as Gibbons’ chief of staff, overseeing the staff and operations of four Congressional offices as well as his legislative agenda and messaging.
In 2006, Maier joined The Brand Experience as the director of the Honeywell Technology Experience, a multimillion-dollar marketing center on Capitol Hill. After relocating to Las Vegas, Maier became director of account services overseeing experiential marketing endeavors for clients and projects across the country.
Just prior to joining FFW, Amy managed several high-profile accounts at B&P Advertising Media & Public Relations. She secured media coverage locally and beyond for her diverse client list that spanned numerous industries, including transportation, law, technology, higher education and hospitality. She also coordinated the media campaign to promote the reopening of the Plaza Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas and the opening of its signature steakhouse, Oscar’s.
During her free time, Amy is active in her local community and professional organizations. She is a member of the Las Vegas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and also serves as vice chair of the board of directors for Dress for Success Southern Nevada, the local affiliate of the worldwide nonprofit that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women, enabling them to build a career and become self-sufficient.
