COMMUNITY INVITED TO SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEW DOCUMENTARY ON DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS
Beyond Neon trailer screening party at Insert Coin(s)
WHAT: The community is invited to attend a screening party on Saturday, July 14 to celebrate the trailer release of an all-new documentary on downtown Las Vegas, titled Beyond Neon. The V3 Arts film production team aims to document and build awareness of the resurgence of downtown Las Vegas, including everything from the high-profile move of Zappos.com into the former city hall to the many small businesses quietly bringing about positive change in the area.
The July 14 event also launches the Indie Go Go fundraising campaign to raise the $15,000 needed to pay for the remaining production of the film. These funds will be invested in the local economy, as V3 Arts plans to use only local talent for all points of production. The finished film product will be donated to UNLV Special Collections for its archives and research on downtown revitalization.
Screening party is free and open to ages 21+. Happy hour drink specials will be offered.
The full-length film is slated for release and a local premiere in 2013 and will be entered broadly across the film festival circuit. For more information, visit http://beyondneonfilm.com/.
