All in a Day’s Work: My DTLV Shopping Adventure
I love my job. I really do. Have you ever been asked to spend an entire day shopping on-the-clock? This gal has, and I was honored, and quite delighted, to take on the task.
My assignment? Produce and shoot a video about various places to shop in downtown Las Vegas, or DTLV as it is better known by those who adore it. The mission was to show off what DTLV has to offer shoppers in three distinct regions: The Las Vegas Premium Outlets North, Antique Alley and Container Park.
At the outlets center, we met up with Marketing Director Alexandra Goranson, who filled us in about the bevy of brand name stores and incentives available for your shopping pleasure. By the end I had so many bags, I needed a third arm.
Petina Décor was our Antique Alley stop. There, Kate Aldrich showed us a variety of vintage gems from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. I got the chance to try on a great hat that I swear Kate Middleton has in her arsenal. 😉
Containers, Slides and a Giant Praying Mantis?
This is a destination like no other. The Container Park, a Downtown Project creation, features dozens of shipping containers transformed into adorable boutiques and restaurants. There is a fire-spitting praying mantis on site AND a very tall kid-and-adult-friendly slide. Yes, I had to do it.
My advice? Watch this video and then head to DTLV to experience these unique shopping venues for yourself!
