DYNAMITE: The trendy new store at Fashion Show
I am one of those women who can peruse and shop for hours. So when asked to help work an event for the first to Nevada retailer – Dynamite, I jumped at the opportunity.
A little bit about Dynamite: it is an extremely successful Canadian fashion retailer who started expanding into the U.S. in 2013. The brand now has five stores in the states, one that just opened in Fashion Show which is owned by a client of ours – General Growth Properties (GGP). The brand is first-to-market offering trendy quality women’s clothing at a very affordable price; most of the clothing is in the $29.90 – $49.90 range with the most expensive items peaking at $79.90, allowing them to differentiate themselves from their competitors (Zara, Forever 21, etc).
Now to the fun part…the event.
The event was different than any other event I had worked; I have never worked with a clothing store or helped personally invite media to an event. (One of many reasons why I love working at FFW, you are given so many opportunities to learn and do new things!)
There were two parts to this event, the morning was for media and the evening was for individuals in town for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) trade show. Both the morning and evening events were great! There was light food and refreshments, a DJ, people were socializing, gift bags were provided and even the President of Dynamite flew in from Montreal to mingle with guests. The entire vibe of the event: Dynamite corporate, the employees, the media, the music, the delicious food, the fabulous cocktails, the smiles, laughs, good conversations and receptive audience made for a wonderful day and evening.
My favorite part to the event, and all events, though…when it is all over, but not in the way you are thinking. The part where the client expresses their gratitude towards you for the event. Where they just smile and simply say thank you, and that is all you need. In that moment is when you feel a sense of accomplishment, the feeling of achieving or maybe even exceeding the expectations of what your client wanted. That alone makes the long days, work and effort that go into the event worthwhile.
Oh and don’t forget to head to Fashion Show, check out the store for yourself and see what all the hubbub is about!
