Melissa Warren, managing partner of Faiss Foley Warren Public Relations and Government Affairs, announces the addition of eight new members to the firm: Karen Griffin, public affairs director; Amy E. S. Maier, senior public relations account executive; Lisa Robinson, senior public relations account executive; Adrienne Augustus, senior public relations account executive; Aisha Kasmir, social media associate; Daniella Cortez Alvarez; public relations coordinator; Claudia Magana, social media coordinator; and Katie McCarthy Finnerty, receptionist/account coordinator.

Griffin is a former news anchor for KRNV, the NBC affiliate in Reno, NV, and a former public information officer for Sparks, Nevada. She is overseeing the firm’s high profile work on the Coalition to Defeat the Margin Tax and Strong Cities Strong Communities, a federal economic development grant awarded to the city of Las Vegas.

Maier most recently served as senior public relations account executive with B&P Advertising – Media – Public Relations and is a former director of account services for The Brand Experience. From 1998 to 2006, Maier served as chief of staff and communications director for US Congressman Jim Gibbons in Washington, DC. At FFW, she is a member of the downtown marketing team and is overseeing several accounts, including Downtown Grand, WILD, Cherry Development, among others.

Robinson comes to FFW from TLC Casino Enterprises, Inc. (Binion’s and Four Queens) where she served as director of communications and entertainment. She is a former director of marketing for Fremont Street Experience. At FFW, Robinson has responsibility for a number of accounts, including the firm’s nonprofit clients, as well as Dot Vegas, Inc. and CBRE.

Augustus is a former investigative news reporter with KLAS TV-8 and most recently worked in marketing at Bally Technologies prior to joining FFW. She has primary responsibility for the firm’s long-standing representation of The Howard Hughes Corporation and the master-planned community of Summerlin in addition to working FFW’s social media division as a videographer, editor and producer.

Kasmir comes to FFW from Alexandria, VA, where she served as community engagement associate for ACTion Alexandria. She also served as an online organizer for Progressive Majority in Washington, DC. For FFW, Kasmir is an active member of the firm’s social media division and is assisting with community engagement on Strong Cities Strong Communities.

Cortez Alvarez is an Alaska transplant who previously served as entertainment editor of an alternative weekly newspaper in Anchorage. Most recently, she was content curator for Remark Media in Las Vegas. She joins the firm’s downtown marketing team and is a contributing member of FFW’s social media division.

Magana, an active member of FFW’s social media division, assists in the strategic generation and content management of social media for several clients on multiple platforms. Her bi-lingual Spanish/English background extends the firm’s outreach in the Hispanic community.

A native of Philadelphia, McCarthy Finnerty taps multiple accounts at FFW as receptionist and account coordinator. She is a former intern at The Star Group advertising agency in Philadelphia. Currently, she is overseeing Pretty for Prom, an initiative of the firm’s client, International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT), and Clark County School District Community Partnership Office.
