LAS VEGAS (October 26, 2015) – Fashion Show today announced the launch of its new seasonal production, Holiday Spectacular, a captivating digital experience that takes revelers on an eye-popping journey, complete with 3D animation, an original musical score and best of all, snow in Las Vegas. The festive show debuts November 23 on Fashion Show’s newly redeveloped Plaza facing Las Vegas Boulevard, and will run every hour on the hour through January 1, 2016.
“Fashion Show is the largest retail destination on the Las Vegas Strip. We have long been known for being at the forefront of entertainment focused around our unique runway and stagebox that has hosted thousands of fashion shows and special events,” said Janet LaFevre, senior marketing manager, Fashion Show. “That coupled with our partnership with DreamWorks Animation through Adventure to Santa ensures guests will continue to enjoy high quality, free entertainment – both inside and out.”
Holiday Spectacular, a one-of-a-kind video installation produced by Houses in Motion, transforms the Plaza with an imaginative four-minute holiday show that highlights decorating for the season; gift giving ideas featuring a dazzling and futuristic shop filled with dancers and whirligigs galore; and a magical snow-filled finale. As the season draws to a close, a New Year’s Eve countdown begins, once again ending with a blast of snow on the Plaza to welcome the New Year. The three digital screens – spanning 14 to 58 feet high – provide optimal vantage points for all passersby to enjoy this highly engaging digital adventure unlike anything else in the city.
The video installation further enhances the Plaza’s ongoing redevelopment set to be complete by year-end. The redevelopment effort includes a 30,000-square-foot Zara and a 22,000-square-foot addition, as well as new full-service restaurants, including Kona Grill and Sugar Factory. The project also houses several small free-standing shops including unique concepts like Davidoff of Geneva Cigar Bar, Luke’s Lobster, Pressed Juicery, Wicked Pizza, Fabulous Freddy’s and Sticks & Shakes.
At nearly 2 million square feet, Fashion Show is the largest shopping destination on the Las Vegas Strip and one of the largest shopping centers in the USA. Anchored by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, Macy’s Men’s, Dillard’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods (opening soon), Nordstrom and Forever 21, Fashion Show houses an eclectic mix of more than 250 stores and one-of-a-kind boutiques.
Fashion Show is owned and managed by General Growth Properties, Inc., an S&P 500 company focused exclusively on owning, managing, leasing, and redeveloping high quality retail properties throughout the United States. GGP is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and publicly traded on the NYSE under the symbol GGP.
