Fashion Show’s “New Home for the Holidays” Event Finds 24 Dogs New Homes in Las Vegas
Twenty-four dogs have new homes this holiday season thanks to this year’s second annual “New Home for the Holidays” event at Fashion Show in Las Vegas. The event took place on Saturday, Dec. 10 and proved to be a great success!
Doggies seeking families were brought to the mall by The Animal Foundation, which operates Lied Animal Shelter. Two large adoption areas complete faux grass and a white picket fence were set up in front of participating department stores, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, to educate consumers and encourage them to meet the dogs.
Ashley and Little Bit, two cuddly dogs who were up for adoption that day, got to walk the famed Fashion Show runway with Chris Saldaña of KLAS 8 News NOW and Shawn Tempesta of KTNV’s Vegas Morning Blend and Mix 94.1 (pictured below with holiday runway performers).
Twenty-two dogs found new homes the day of the event, and two customers returned to the shelter the day after to pick up their pooches. There were seven more adoptions this year than at the previous year’s event. Those cute faces were hard to resist!
