Gluten-free and delicious, WILD achieves wild acclaim in downtown Las Vegas as it celebrates grand opening

LAS VEGAS – Proving that gluten-free food can be delicious, WILD celebrated its official grand opening to rave reviews from guests who feasted on the eatery’s menu of mouthwatering pizzas, delectable pastas, fresh salads and luscious desserts, including cupcakes and seasonal pies.

Miki Agrawal, a social entrepreneur, founded the acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant, WILD, in New York City and brought the concept last year to downtown Las Vegas in partnership with Tony Hsieh.

Agrawal, as well as city of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman, local entrepreneurs, downtown residents and business leaders were on hand at a special friends and family event that celebrated the restaurant’s grand opening to mark the growth of WILD’s staff, headed by general manager Elyse Martin, and menu offerings, including the addition of a robust pastry menu and all new smoothie bar.

The restaurant’s menu is completely gluten free, yet diners can’t taste the difference. Many of the items are also vegan and use ingredients that are organic and sourced from local farms in Nevada and California.

Most recently, the restaurant unveiled its bar menu with five small plates for $5 each, including vegan spinach and artichoke dip, chicken lettuce wraps, and wild nachos. It also has created a unique offering of dairy free smoothies, such as Kale’ing Me Softly (kale, strawberries, banana, goji berries) and Kitchen Sink (acai, bananas, peaches, strawberries, avocado, and dairy free milk).

The restaurant has 2,700 sq. ft. of space between its bar and dining areas and can accommodate approximately 100 customers. Seating at the restaurant is arranged predominantly in a communal style setting, including two large farmhouse style tables with benches. The restaurant also offers bar seating in front of its open kitchen and smaller tables near its pastry cabinet and smoothie bar.

WILD is located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas on the first floor of the high-rise residential building The Ogden, at 150 N. Las Vegas Blvd., suite 120 (entrance on E. Ogden Avenue).

It opens daily at 11 a.m. for lunch and closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
