I ‘Heal Hearts’ because I enjoy helping those in need
I’ve always enjoyed being active and spending time outside whenever I get a chance. Sometimes I drive off to Calico Basin on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon just to get away from the city and enjoy nature (Not during too cold or hot temperatures!) But if I have to walk or run for a cause that I firmly support, I enjoy it even more.
Last year, I participated in the Rape Crisis Center’s first-ever Healing Hearts run/walk while assisting with social media content! No, I didn’t win but my main goal was to celebrate and honor all survivors of sexual abuse and assault. That’s why I plan to participate in the second annual Healing Hearts 4K run/walk to benefit RCC.
Interested? Join RCC on Feb. 21. at 8 a.m. at Cornerstone Park in Henderson to participate or show your support. All you have to do is wear red to celebrate survivors and RCC’s ongoing mission to help those who’ve been affected by sexual violence.
Here’s something fun too: Bring a poster, or create one at the event, and complete the phrase “I heal hearts by…” and tweet it or post it on Facebook or Instagram with #HealingHeartsLV for a chance to win a prize at the event.
Early registration is open now through February 6th. You can register by clicking here.
I hope you join me and RCC to run/walk to honor survivors of sexual violence!
