Nevada Health Link hosts final health fair for uninsured and underinsured Nevadans, Jan. 30
Nevadans are encouraged to attend the event before the 2016 enrollment season ends on Jan. 31
Nevada Health Link urges consumers to attend the final health fair to speak in-person with a licensed insurance broker from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Clark County Government Center. The enrollment season for 2016 health plans will come to a close on Sunday, Jan. 31, making this health fair the last opportunity for Nevadans to receive in-person assistance with a licensed enrollment professional who will guide them through the application process, eligibility requirements, and health care plan options.
Various vendors include Dignity Health AAA Insurance, Amerigroup, Dignity Health St. Rose Hospitals, Children’s Advocacy Alliance and Small Business Administration. Vision screenings, CPR demonstrations and health and wellness guides will be available.
The enrollment period for health insurance began November 1 and continues through Jan. 31, 2016. Consumers who enroll between January 16, 2016, and January 31, 2016 will receive coverage beginning March 1, 2016. To date, more than 76,000 Nevadans have signed up for coverage during the open enrollment period.
It is recommended that individuals answer a list of pre-screening questions here to determine qualification for free or reduced cost medical coverage. Applicants must provide various documents to enroll, including proof of residency, proof of income, valid identification card and proof of U.S. citizenship.
