Oscar B. Goodman Dinner Series on Nov. 12: “Wingy, Hunchy and Lefty – Just a Few of My Characters”
Las Vegas, Nev. – Classic Vegas comes to life during the Oscar Dinner Series with former city of Las Vegas Mayor, Oscar B. Goodman. The next dinner on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. will feature Goodman speaking about “Wingy, Hunchy and Lefty – Just a Few of My Characters.”
The Oscar Dinner Series is held at Oscar’s Beef – Booze – Broads steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. Guests enjoy a gourmet three-course meal paired with red and white wine as well as the signature Oscar Goodman Martini while listening to Goodman discuss his extraordinary experiences as a criminal defense attorney that are hallmarks of Las Vegas’ unique and fascinating history.
Before becoming mayor of Las Vegas, Goodman represented many notorious Las Vegas figures, such as former owner of the Cal Neva, Bert “Wingy” Grober, who came by his nickname because one arm was shorter than the other; Bobby “Hunchy” Berent, who with his partner Jasper Speciale owned the Tower of Pizza Italian restaurant on the south end of the Strip, past the old Dunes; and former Stardust Casino boss, Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal.
To attend the Nov. 12 dinner, RSVP and pre-payment of $150 is required. To RSVP or for more information call 702-386-7227 or email RSVP@playlv.com.
