Pardee project produces dream pet homes for charity
Three teams from Pardee Homes in Las Vegas have been putting in some overtime for two lucky benefactors: HomeAid and our four-legged friends.
For years, Pardee has been spearheading “Project Playhouse” with HomeAid Southern Nevada, a national organization that builds and renovates shelters for America’s homeless. In the past, the goal has been to create a child’s dream playhouse. But this year, there’s a four-legged twist.
Pardee teams and several other local builders have been constructing “Project Playhouse Pet Edition” pet houses for the past several weeks. A ‘green’ house, a fire house, a ‘lucky’ dog house, and many more will be displayed at Town Square in Las Vegas starting on May 4. HomeAid will gain the proceeds from a raffle, and some lucky local pooches will have a new dream pet home.
Pardee has been capturing the progress through video. Get to know the teams and learn more below!
If you want to check out the homes and participate in the raffle, here’s what you need to know:
- The pet houses will be on display May 4 through June 4 at the Children’s Park at Town Square, located at 6611 Las Vegas Blvd., South.
- Tickets for a chance to win one of the houses cost $5 each and will be sold at Project Playhouse Pet Shoppe from noon to 8 p.m. daily.
- Donations will also be taken at six PitStop Chevron/Arco locations in Southern Nevada. A drawing for the houses is planned for June 4 at 4 p.m.
