RideTheStrip.com Will Help You Get Around the Best Spots in Town
Visiting Las Vegas and want to know a great way to get around? Try RTC Transit.
Millions of visitors come to Las Vegas every year, and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) transit offers a cost-efficient and easy way to get around town with two transit services in the Resort Corridor.
The Deuce on the Strip offers a unique, double decker bus ride – perfect for seeing the sites, while enjoying an air conditioned ride (especially important now in the heat of the summer). The Deuce on the Strip stops about every quarter mile to reduce walking distances and offer connections to the most popular tourist destinations.
For those who want a faster ride, the Strip & Downtown Express offers limited stops along the Strip and on to the Las Vegas Convention Center and downtown Las Vegas, including the popular Fremont Street Experience and Las Vegas North Premium Outlets.
This month, the RTC also introduced a one-stop online resource for tourists: RideTheStrip.com. The website was created with visitors in mind. It provides easy to use information about transit services in the popular tourist areas as well as points of interests from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
Later this summer, RideTheStrip.com will promote a new RTC transit app that will allow customers using the Strip & Downtown Express (SDX) and Deuce on the Strip routes to buy and use RTC Strip and All-Access transit passes directly from their smartphones. The RTC will pilot test this mobile-ticketing app to further improve transit services within the Resort Corridor, making transit more accessible, attractive and even easier to use.
