SUMMERLIN HOSTS 13TH ANNUAL TOUR DE SUMMERLIN
More than 600 cyclists are expected to participate in Tour de Summerlin, a non-competitive cycling event that features a 40-, 75- and 100-mile ride through the master-planned community and neighboring Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Courses include Summerlin’s dedicated bike routes, as well as wide, open desert roads with improved courses this year for those riding the longer routes.
The event benefits Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. This year, 53 cyclists have joined the Riders for Candlelighters Kids fundraising team. Last year the team raised more than $94,000 for Candlelighters, which provides programs and services that help improve the quality of life for the children and their families affected by childhood cancer.
