Water campaign meets its ‘pinnacle’ (video)
Southern Nevada has one of the top municipal water supplies in the nation – and the Southern Nevada Water Authority’s efforts to spread the word have been rewarded.
Faiss Foley Warren was handed a 2011 PRSA Pinnacle Award Nov. 17 for its PR and advertising efforts surrounding the Water Quality Campaign on behalf of the SNWA.
The campaign, which began in 2004, presently includes a series of print ads and 30-second TV ads featuring SNWA staff members who direct the organization’s water quality efforts.
The judges noted that the campaign executed clear results and objectives, and took a ‘simple approach to increasing public perception of the water supply.’
Why is this public campaign necessary? Research studies have shown a link between our local water’s aesthetic qualities and public perception of safety. The campaign’s goal is to enforce that the water is safe, meeting federal health standards, and that professionals keep a close eye on the supply.
